The Phonak Audéo EON R E30 is the entry level of Phonak’s 2026 everyday range — the new platform, the 38-hour battery, universal Bluetooth and wind control, for people with mostly quiet lives who want a modern Phonak without paying for noise features they will rarely use. It is the EON without the Sphere chip: the same 2026 platform, battery, Bluetooth and app as the EON Sphere, at a lower price. How the EON R E30 helps in everyday life

Everyday listening, done properly
The E30 keeps the essentials of the platform: AutoSense OS AI 8.0 moving between quiet and noisy settings, UltraZoom focus in noise and WindBlock 2.0 outdoors, on 12 tuning channels. It does not have the motion sensor, automatic car and music settings or the E70’s noise cancellation — if busy rooms are a big part of your week, step up a level.

What you still get
The same body, the same 38-hour battery, the same universal Bluetooth, hands-free calls, Auracast and myPhonak app as the E90 — the platform is identical, only the sound-processing features differ.

Walks, the seafront, cycling, the school run
WindBlock 2.0 cuts wind noise by up to 50 dB before it reaches your ear, so a breezy walk does not turn into a roar and you can still hear the person beside you.

Moving through your day without touching anything
AutoSense OS™ AI 8.0 checks your surroundings around 700 times a second and blends the right settings for where you are, so the aids simply follow you from the kitchen to the car to the office.

Comfort and discretion
The EON R is a small receiver-in-canal aid — 2.4 g, about 29 mm tall — that sits neatly behind the ear, works well with glasses, and is rated IP68 against dust, sweat and rain.

Phone calls, TV and music
Bluetooth streams calls, music and TV straight into both ears from iPhone, Android, laptops and tablets — you can keep up to 8 devices paired and 2 connected at once. Calls are truly hands-free: the aids’ own microphones pick up your voice, so the phone can stay in your pocket. Add a Phonak TV Connector for the TV, and it is Auracast™-ready for the broadcast audio arriving in theatres, airports and gyms.

E90, E70, E50 or E30 — which one is right for you?

All four share the same body, the same 38-hour battery, the same Bluetooth and the same app. The difference is how much help you get when it is noisy, and how automatically that help arrives: the E90 does it all for you, the E70 has the focus tools but leaves the loud-noise program to you, the E50 keeps things comfortable, and the E30 covers quiet lives.

If your life is mostly quiet — home, one-to-one, TV — and you want a current Phonak with proper Bluetooth and a long battery, the E30 is the honest choice.

Battery and charging

The EON R is rechargeable only — no fiddly batteries. On a full charge you get up to 38 hours; Phonak’s expected everyday figure with some streaming is around 29 hours, still comfortably a full day and evening. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours, an hour on the charger gives you over half a charge, and a quick 15-minute top-up gets you 30 minutes. The standard plug-in Charger RIC E is in the box; the optional ChargerGo has its own built-in battery and gives you about three extra full charges without a plug socket — ideal for weekends away.

Calls, TV and streaming

Phonak’s universal Bluetooth means it just works with your phone, whatever make it is, and with laptops, tablets and smart TVs too. Calls are hands-free with your voice picked up by the hearing aids themselves; you can answer and end a call with a double tap on the ear. Both Bluetooth Classic and the newer LE Audio are built in, and the aids are Auracast™-ready for public broadcast audio as venues switch it on. The EON R works with Phonak’s Roger microphones for meetings and classrooms, and the TV Connector for direct TV sound. Note there is no telecoil on the EON — if you rely on hearing loops, tell us and we will advise.

The myPhonak app

Volume, programs, a personal equaliser and streaming control on your phone, plus the ability to save your favourite settings for specific places. It is also how we connect to you for free remote fine-tuning: a video call, a few adjustments, done — no clinic trip.

Your EON R is programmed to your hearing test by our UK audiologist and shipped with the right receiver strength for your loss (from mild to profound), starter domes and Phonak’s EasyGuard™ wax protection, which seals the receiver so there is far less to clean. Choose from eight Phonak colours using the swatches above, including the new Sienna Red. If you have no usable hearing in one ear, the EON R also pairs with the Phonak CROS EON R.
