How remote tuning works

Remote tuning allows your hearing aids to be professionally adjusted by one of our audiologists without you needing to attend a clinic. Adjustments are made while you’re in your real-world listening environments, helping us fine-tune your hearing aids to suit your lifestyle.

Our process

Step-by-step process

1. Send us your audiogram

You’ll send a copy of your recent hearing test for review by one of our audiologists.

Audiograms should ideally be from the last 6 months
A clear photo of a paper audiogram is absolutely fine

2. Complete a short questionnaire

We’ll ask you to complete a brief medical and lifestyle questionnaire. This helps us understand how and where you struggle most with hearing (for example, conversations, TV, background noise, or social settings).

3. Pre-programming your hearing aids

Once your order is placed, your hearing aids are programmed by an HCPC-registered audiologist using your audiogram and questionnaire responses.

4. Delivery of your hearing aids

Your hearing aids arrive ready to use straight out of the box, with accessories and consumables included.

5. Remote fine-tuning appointment

You’ll connect your hearing aids to the manufacturer’s smartphone app and join a secure video call with your audiologist. During the session, we’ll fine-tune the settings based on your feedback.

6. Follow-up appointment

A follow-up session is booked to ensure you’re happy with the changes and to make any further refinements if needed.

What you’ll need for remote tuning

A compatible smartphone (iOS or Android)
The manufacturer’s free hearing aid app installed
Bluetooth enabled
Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)

We’ll guide you through setup if needed – no technical experience required.

Getting the right fit

To ensure comfort and sound quality, we include:

A range of dome sizes
Correct receiver length based on your ear measurements

Your audiologist will help you find the best fit during your remote appointments.

How to request a remote tuning session
