If the TV is the thing you argue about — “it’s too loud”, “I can’t hear it” — this is the fix. The TV Connector sits behind the television and sends the sound straight into both hearing aids, so you hear it at your own level while everyone else keeps the room volume where they like it. Speech is clearer because it arrives in your ears directly rather than bouncing round the room, and there is no lip-sync lag.
How it connects
One cable from the TV (optical/TOSLINK for the best sound, or the 3.5 mm headphone socket) into the Connector, plug it in, and hold your aids next to it for a few seconds — it pairs itself. From then on the TV stream starts automatically when the TV is on and you sit down, or you switch it in the myPhonak app. Range is about 15 metres, and as many Phonak wearers as you like can listen at once.
Which aids?
Every Bluetooth Phonak aid: Audéo EON Sphere and EON R, Audéo Infinio and Infinio Sphere, Audéo Lumity, Paradise and Marvel, Naída, Sky and Virto Bluetooth models. Unitron and Kirkland aids on the same platform also work.
