Signia’s RealTime Conversation Enhancement works out where each person around you is sitting and lifts their voice above the background — so you can follow a conversation as it moves around the table instead of catching every third word. On the 5IX it runs at high strength, tracking up to 1 voices at once.

Your own voice
The first thing most new wearers notice is that their own voice sounds odd — loud, hollow, boomy. Own Voice Processing 2.0 recognises your voice the instant you speak and treats it separately, so you sound like you from day one and are far more likely to keep the aids in.

Speech from the side
SpeechFocus notices when the main voice is coming from beside you — walking side by side, sitting next to someone at dinner — and opens the microphones that way.

Out walking
A built-in motion sensor knows when you are on the move and keeps you aware of traffic and footsteps around you, then narrows the focus again when you sit down to talk.

Church halls and echoey rooms
A dedicated reverberant-room program you can select in the app calms the echo that makes speech smear in big hard-surfaced spaces.

Cutlery, doors and wind
SoundSmoothing takes the sting out of sudden clatters (maximum level here) and eWindScreen deals with wind on walks (maximum level).

7IX, 5IX, 3IX, 2IX or 1IX — which one is right for you?

Every Styletto level shares the same slim body, the same charging case, the same Bluetooth streaming, hands-free calls, app and remote care. What changes is how much conversation intelligence is switched on and how finely we can tune it.

For most people the 5IX is the sweet spot: the same conversation intelligence as the 7 one notch down, and it still turns towards speech from the side. You give up the car feature, echo control and the extra tracking streams.

Battery and charging

The slim shape means a slimmer battery: up to 20 hours on a charge — a full day, but plan on charging every night. The compensation is the portable charging case that comes in the box: it holds five full charges, charges wirelessly on any Qi pad or by cable, and slips into a pocket, so you are never caught short on a weekend away.

Calls, TV and streaming

Streams calls, music and TV directly from iPhone (Made for iPhone), Android (ASHA) and the newer LE Audio phones, with hands-free calls on iPhone and LE Audio Android phones. It is Auracast™-ready for public broadcast audio. For laptops, older phones and TVs use the Signia StreamLine Mic or TV Sound accessory. There is no telecoil on the Styletto — if you rely on hearing loops, look at the Pure Charge&Go BCT instead.

The Signia app, Assistant and remote care

Volume, programs and streaming on your phone, plus the Signia Assistant — a chat that fixes “too sharp” or “too much noise” on the spot, 24/7. My WellBeing tracks wearing time, steps and how much conversation you are getting. Our audiologist fine-tunes your aids remotely by video call through Signia TeleCare, free, for as long as you own them.

Tinnitus

Built-in tinnitus relief: four Ocean Waves sounds, a soft static therapy signal (18 / 5) and Signia’s patented Notch Therapy for tonal tinnitus. Ask us to switch it on when we program your aids.
